Deposits:

On booking an appointment a deposit of £30.00 is required to secure the appointment and will be deducted from the final balance
Insurance:
Insurance companies in the UK may not cover fee’s for visits to GP’s, please check with your insurance provider for appropriate authorization.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the consultation time will be charged at 50% of the consultation fee.
If cancelled within 24 hours, or an appointment is missed this will be charged at 100% of the consultation fee.

All Fees are payable immediately after consultation by cash, credit card or bank transfer.

Alcohol Use Disorder
Dr Merron has a specialist interest in treating patients with Alcohol Use Disorder using The Sinclair Method.
She uses a number of more innovative medical approaches to help her patients achieve a healthy level of alcohol consumption
Menopause
Dr Merron has additional training in menopause and peri menopause management, and this is an area of interest for her. She can provide a holistic consultation and discuss lifestyle, supplements, HRT and other medication to help with symptom relief.
Gynaecology
Dr Merron has additional training, qualifications and an interest in all gynaecological problems including recurrent urinary tract infections , pelvic floor disorders, pelvic pain,postmenopausal bleeding and all gynaecological problems including incontinence and can provide an assessment, investigation, treatment and referral as required. She fits ring pessaries, undertakes cervical screening and can refer to a specialist if required

Mental Health
Dr Merron has an interest in all mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, OCD, Addiction, child and adolescent mental health problems such as ADHD/ ASD and provide an initial assessment, treatment and referral to a specialist as required
Child Health
Dr Merron embraces the opportunity to consult with children of all ages, has specialist training in paediatrics, and can advise on all conditions, such as concerns regarding, feeding, colic, developmental concerns, recurrent urinary tract infections, dermatological conditions, and any other worries such as tiredness, weight loss and gastrointestinal conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
I need to see a GP urgently
Dr Merron will endeavor to offer appointments within 2 days, however, we anticipate being able to offer same day appointments very soon with new GP’s being recruited to cover the practice during opening hours
I have a simple problem which will not take 30 minutes… can I have a 15 minutes appointment?
Yes, If you have already been seen by Dr Merron in the past you can have a 15 minute appointment for simple problems such as to discuss medications, HRT, infections, or any other concerns. If you think its going to take 15 minutes, then we are happy to book you in for a fee of £75.00 for 15 minutes.
Will you communicate with my GP?
Yes, I shall ask for your consent, and send the consultation summary to your GP as well as yourself.
If you prefer that no communication is made then the decision will be respected. (unless there are concerns of a safeguarding or criminal nature in which case it would be my duty of care to share information, however this would always be discussed with you prior to sharing information)
Your medical data is secure, and will only be shared with your consent, via a secure IT pathway.
Do follow ups need to be 30 minutes?
Depending on the complexity of your case, after your initial 30 minute consultation, if we agree a follow up would take 15 minutes it will be booked as such and the fee would be £75
Do you offer telephone / video consultations?
Yes these can be offered within and outside normal office hours. Request this with reception who will email Dr Merron who will make appropriate arrangements
I have a disability.. do you offer home visits?
Yes.. Dr Merron does offer home visits within a 5 mile radius of the practice for £270 per consultation
Visits outside a 5 mile radius will depend on availability however, Dr Merron can provide a quote.
Is Dr Merron Insured and licensed to practice?
Yes.. Dr Merron is fully insured to practice privately as a GP, has full revalidation status, She has been and continues to be an NHS Revalidation appraiser herself for NHS Midlands.
Is Dr Merron on the GMC register?
Yes – under the name of Dr Sarah Jane Louise Merron GMC 4503868
